Weekly Beef Export Sales 08/13 07:35
Hides and Skins: Net sales of 228,400 pieces for 2026 were down 40 percent
from the previous week and 28 percent from the prior 4-week average.
Increases primarily for China (119,900 whole cattle hides, including
decreases of 2,800 pieces), South Korea (44,800 whole cattle hides,
including decreases of 1,600 pieces), Mexico (35,100 whole cattle hides,
including decreases of 5,200 pieces), Brazil (22,800 whole cattle hides),
and Thailand (9,100 whole cattle hides, including decreases of 400
pieces), were offset by reductions for Taiwan (7,400 pieces) and India
(200 pieces). Exports of 263,000 whole cattle hides were down 13 percent
from the previous week and 5 percent from the prior 4-week average. The
destinations were primarily to China (161,000 pieces), Mexico (46,100
pieces), South Korea (27,700 pieces), Thailand (9,000 pieces), and Brazil
(7,400 pieces).
Net sales of 52,700 wet blues for 2026 were down 62 percent from the
previous week and 56 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases
reported for Italy (52,800 unsplit, including decreases of 100 unsplit),
were offset by reductions for Vietnam (100 unsplit) and Hong Kong (100
unsplit). No net sales and exports of other excluding wet blues were
reported for the week. Exports of 155,900 wet blues were down 9 percent
from the previous week, but up 8 percent from the prior 4-week average.
The destinations were primarily to Vietnam (56,000 unsplit), Italy (40,800
unsplit), Thailand (22,800 unsplit), Hong Kong (12,200 unsplit), and China
(12,000 unsplit). No net sales and exports of split were reported for the
week.
Beef: Net sales of 14,400 MT for 2026 were down 27 percent from the
previous week, but up 10 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases
were primarily for South Korea (5,300 MT, including decreases of 400 MT),
Japan (3,000 MT, including decreases of 200 MT), Hong Kong (1,100 MT),
Taiwan (1,000 MT, including decreases of 100 MT), and China (900 MT).
Exports of 11,400 MT were down 8 percent from the previous week and 4
percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to
South Korea (3,300 MT), Japan (2,700 MT), Taiwan (1,600 MT), Mexico (1,300
MT), and Canada (900 MT).
Pork: Net sales of 36,300 MT for 2026 were up 33 percent from the previous
week and 29 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were
primarily for Mexico (14,200 MT, including decreases of 400 MT), Japan
(6,400 MT, including decreases of 100 MT), South Korea (4,100 MT), Canada
(2,800 MT, including decreases of 300 MT), and China (2,800 MT, including
decreases of 100 MT). Total net sales of 100 MT for 2027 were for Japan.
Exports of 30,600 MT were up 9 percent from the previous week and 7
percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to
Mexico (15,100 MT), Japan (3,900 MT), China (3,000 MT), Colombia (2,000
MT), and Canada (1,600 MT).
